Located at 1270 m. altitude, at the confluence of the Ter-Llobregat torrent Vall, in the far north of the valley, at the foot of the highest peaks (Bastiments, Pastuira, Gra of Fajol, Costabona etc.), which graze the three thousand meters and are an impressive showcase for the practice of walking or hiking. Setcases, is a picturesque village, with houses, stone streets and alleys carefully restored to keep all the traditional flavor.
This ancient rural town has become one of the tourist spots of the region due to the proximity of the ski slopes of Vallter 2000, and its spectacular surroundings. A privileged natural environment and landscape, a great deal, both culinary and hospitality, a tranquil rural setting, the resort Vallter 2000 and the welcome provided by their neighbors, have made Setcases a recognized and prestigious resort.

This temple, originally Visigothic, dedicated to St. Michael the Archangel, has its origins in the twelfth century, but only retains some element previous to the fifteenth century. In that century was rebuilt and was again renovated and partly rebuilt in 1729 after a fire that forced distribute their laps and roof. The building was constructed in the Gothic period, and preserved the building formulas. There is evidence that a chasuble late seventeenth Egle, embroidered with gold, is preserved in the Diocesan Museum of Girona.
With nearly 35 years as a ski resort, Vallter 2000 is in a circle of glacial origin (circle Morens - Ull de Ter), in the eastern part of the Pyrenees, in the Ripollès and within the municipality of Setcases.
Surely in Setcases just climb a few meters to provide viewpoints or views, but there are three easily accessible lookouts with spectacular views, which are: the FORAT de l'Olla, you'll find it on the road Vallter to Setcases about 5 km, from which enjoy views over the valley of the Ter, Gra of Fajol, Pastuira, etc., and with a little luck you can also see some chamois.
In Ulldeter located to 2,425 m. altitude, is the source of the River TER, which, after traveling 167 kilometers, flows into the sea near the Estartit. A hundred yards Ter birth, in 2385 m. altitude, we find the remains of the old shelter Ulldeter, which was the first mountain refuge across the state. In 1959 he opened the existing shelter, about 300 m below.
